Bodegas Manzanos
Spanning more than a century of winemaking tradition, the story of Bodegas Manzanos is defined by family perseverance and visionary growth. It began in 1890, when the first generation of the Fernández de Manzanos family founded a small 50,000-liter winery in the heart of Azagra, Spain. Over the decades, the family expanded their influence, culminating in the 1950s and 60s with the creation of Viña Marichalar, the first winery in the Rioja DOCa to exceed 1.5 million liters in capacity.
In the 1990s, Víctor Fernández de Manzanos Pastor, representing the fourth generation, infused the family business with technical precision as a trained enologist, launching the monumental Bodegas Manzanos project. Since 2010, the fifth generation — brothers Víctor and David — transformed the estate into an international, technologically advanced winemaking powerhouse while preserving their ancestral essence.
In 2025, Bodegas Manzanos joined the Domaines Michel Boutin group, propelling this historic Rioja and Navarra estate into an exciting new era of global ambition, all while continuing to craft celebrated wines that invite people to "celebrate life."
