Celler Pasanau
Deep in the rugged, steep landscape of Spain's Priorat region, the Pasanau family's winemaking roots stretch back centuries. Settling in the village of Poboleda in 1850, they worked the land until the phylloxera blight devastated the region. In 1940, great-grandfather Joan Pasanau Garcia visionary began replanting the harsh, licorella-slate hillsides.
Fast forward to the 1980s, the fourth generation โ brothers Joan, Albert, and Ricard โ introduced new varieties while honoring ancestral techniques, eventually building their modern winery at the foot of the Serra del Montsant in 1995. Today, the fifth generation continues this fierce commitment to their mountainous terroir, crafting world-renowned wines that capture the profound concentration and untamed spirit of Priorat.
