Domaine Yves Girardin
Steeped in the profound winemaking history of Burgundy, the Girardin family has been cultivating vines for an astounding 13 generations. The modern estate truly took shape in the 1960s under Jean Girardin, who famously acquired the historic Château de la Charrière in Santenay. In 1981, his son Yves took the helm with just three hectares of vines. Driven by a lifelong passion nurtured in the family cellars, Yves methodically expanded the estate to 21.5 hectares, acquiring prestigious parcels in Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard.
In 2003, Yves proudly brought the family's ancestral property, Château de la Charrière, back into the fold, constructing a state-of-the-art cellar to elevate the winemaking process. Today, joined by his son Benoît — who returned to the estate in 2011 after honing his skills in Beaune and Bordeaux — the Domaine beautifully bridges centuries of ancestral expertise with modern precision.
