Recioto della Valpolicella is the sweet passito predecessor of Amarone — made from dried grapes, fermentation stopped before all sugar converts. Aged in amphora for added complexity. The nose offers concentrated black cherry, dried plum, fig, dark chocolate, and warm spice. The palate is luscious and complex with rich texture, balanced acidity, and a long sweet finish — 4.4 Stars Vivino, 90 Luca Maroni.
