From a 0.73-hectare south-facing parcel at the heart of Bussia Soprana, with 25-year-old organically-farmed vines. The nose opens with fresh raspberry, rhubarb, and cherry, evolving into bitter orange, blue flowers, and earthy notes of damp forest floor. The palate is dense and fleshy with red fruits, currants, and spices, framed by robust yet harmonious tannins and splendid acidity. Powerful and smooth, with the depth and finesse that only Bussia delivers. Critics have hailed it as one of the standout Barolos of the great 2021 vintage.
