Pietro Zardini's Ripasso — the 'baby Amarone' style produced by refermenting Valpolicella on Amarone grape skins. The nose offers ripe red and dark cherry, plum, dried herbs, and warm spice. The palate is medium-full with smooth tannins, ripe fruit, and a long savory finish.
