Domaine Asseray / Hesiode
Situated just south of Angers in the heart of the renowned Coteaux de l'Aubance and Anjou-Villages-Brissac appellations, Domaine Asseray is a testament to four generations of family dedication. The estate's roots trace back to 1931, when it began as a mixed farm cultivating its very first parcels of Grolleau and Cabernet. A pivotal shift occurred in 1983 when Jean-Baptiste Asseray, alongside his sons, transitioned the property entirely to viticulture, shaping it into the innovative winery it is today.
Now spanning 57 hectares, the estate is passionately guided by the fourth generation, Emmanuel and Aurรฉlie Asseray. Bridging deep ancestral know-how with modern vineyard management, they cultivate their vines with a fierce commitment to sustainability, proudly holding a High Environmental Value (HVE Level 3) certification.
From their crisp, aromatic Sauvignon Blancs and expressive Cabernet d'Anjou rosรฉs to their structured Anjou reds, Domaine Asseray crafts fruit-forward, refined wines that authentically capture the luminous terroir and convivial spirit of the Loire Valley.
