Francesco Brigatti
The history of Brigatti’s estate began in the early 1900s when Alessandro Brigatti, Francesco’s grandfather, the current proprietor, started to plant some vines to complement the cultivation of cereals. The great passion for wine was the driver that fostered Alessandro to start searching for a suitable plot of land to plant his own vineyard. During his quest he came across a gently rolling hill, exposed to the south and with a soil rich in clay. Since 1995 the Brigatti’s estate is run by Francesco, Luciano’s son, with a qualification as oenologist and agronomist. He has chosen to strictly maintain a family-run sized business so as to continue to pursue high quality standards. Today Francesco Brigatti is proprietor of 15 acres of vineyard to which he applies the Integrated Pest Management criteria as a key part of his vision of a sustainable agriculture. Today the overall annual production stands at 30,000 bottles.
