Fratelli Borgogno
In addition to owning 3 hectares on the top of Cannubi, Borgogno Family passionately grows its own as well as some other rented vineyards for a total amount of about 7 hectares mainly located in the counties of Barolo, Novello and Diano dโAlba. The whole job, from the pruning to the thinning stage and to the selection of the grapes before the harvest, are personally run by the Family, in order to obtain healthy and genuine grapes, and to produce a wine that authentically reflects the land from which it comes. We believe it is our duty to keep telling the tradition that made our landโs wines so special. Cannubi is probably one of the most historic vineyards of our territory. The name Cannubi was already present in some documents since 1700. The most ancient bottle found on Langhe hills had on its label โCannubi 1752โ. These proves show the historical significance of Cannubi vineyard, already known as one of the most precious vineyards in that area. Producers and farmers at that time identified the toponym Cannubi with a small piece of land, from which they would produce valued and high quality grapes (even during hard times, eventually) that were then labeled as Cannubio and/or Cannubi.
